As Nigerians marks democracy day 2017, Nigerians especially the youths has been called upon to do all their capacity to see that the nation wear a new look.
This call was made by Mr Oke Opeyemi, the chief executive officer of DOONEK INNOVATION CENTER, at Badadry Lagos during a speech delivery at a program tagged DIGITOCRACY slated for youth empowerment and crusade for good governance
When speaking about the state of the nation, Oke, described the present situation of in country the as a horrible one that calls for a sober reflection instead of celebrations.” Nigerians are hooked in the mist of hardship struggle and smiling” he added.
Addressing the youths, Opeyemi, charged them to contribute their quota to the country by not depending totally on the government for all their needs rather to be self-reliant.
His words, ’'the change mantra is the mind and should be taken with all seriousness the change we are yearning for should begin from us .you youth should quit adding blames on your past or parental up bringing rather think on what you could do to succeed under the tough situations''.
The CEO, also called on the Lagos state governor Mr Akinwunmi Ambode to be swift in seeing that the people in a the ancient city of Badadry enjoys the benefit of being a new oil producing city by putting up all necessary infrastructures that would be of peoples interest.
Also in attendance were special dignitaries from the digital space industries in the state .
